and you get a lot of schools in england where you can get
suspended for dying your hair from brown to blonde. This is how
fucked up the british school system is. When it comes to
traditional values, Britain clings to them like a limpet. There's
less mindless censorship on the TV - Some shows on public TV show
penisis, breasts and other stuff quite a bit, though after 9pm, and
we're more relaxed in our attitudes to saying words like "shit" and
fuck" (I've noticed that a few imported music videos have a censor
over the artist's mouth when they use a "bad" word.)
I know it's a seperate rant, but isn't it time we ditched the
idea of cussing? What the fuck is the point in suddenly deciding
that "fuck" is a bad word, so bad, in fact that we are not to
mention it? There is no point, but we cling to these values of not
saying fuck just for fun.
Back to the hair, in the article, they said that it wasn't a
credit to the school. Well, obviously it isn't a credit, but it's
not exactly a damaging thing. Pink hair isn't going to change
someone's intelligence. Schools are there to educate, not to
dictate the colour of people's hair. The only reason we stick to
the idea of having a natural looking hair colour is because some
people cling to traditional values. Who gives a fuck if theres
someone with pink hair in a school photo? I know that I wouldn't.
The fascination with having a style police is amazing. My little
brother nearly got kicked out for having his hair spiked - It was a
kind of punk spiking, not like having regular spikes, and the
school got pissed off. I guess that there is a sign of intelligence
in this article, that they actually llowed her to stay at school
with the pink hair. If I tried that at my college, I'd get kicked
out in no time.
But as we know, all of this goes back to accepting tradional
values. Most of us would agree that traditional values are bringing
society downhill.
P.S. Does anyone agree with my view on bad language, hat people
need to readily accept that fuck isn't a bad word. Once everyone
accpts it, it won't be a bad word anymore. We really need to inform
the arseholes at CAPALERT.com about that. They describe "fuck" as
the most foul of the foul words. I always thought that more people
considered "cunt" to be more explicit than "fuck" I sometimes
wonder what would happen if I sent feedback back to the morons at
CAP, asking them what they meant by "the most foul of the foul
words" They'd probably ignore it, and concentrate on finding
satanic stuff in the latest disney realease.
(It's only a rant. Sorry it was a little off topic.)
